Hans-Michael Wolffgang

Dr. Wolffgang was appointed Professor in Customs and Foreign Trade Law at the University of Münster in 1995 (www.wwu-customs.de). He promotes academic research in the field of customs and advises on customs matters. Besides his academic activities at the University of Münster he is the co- founder of the AWB Tax Consultancy and AWB Legal Services Partnership (www.awb-international.de), which specialise in customs law, export control law, VAT law and excise tax law. Since 2005 Dr. Wolffgang and his team have advised German and international companies in customs matters and export control law. The services they offer range from the analysis of internal processes, negotiations with authorities to judicial proceedings before the European Court of Justice. Dr. Wolffgang is also a member of various advisory bodies on a voluntary basis. They include working groups of the Federal Chamber of Tax Consultants, the European Commission and the World Customs Organisation. He is the author and editor of a number of publications on customs and foreign trade law, including the World Customs Journal (www.worldcustomsjournal.org).

As well as being members of the CKI, we are also members of the Chartered Institute of Export and International Trade. My expertise is UK compliance but my new role brought me to learn about EU rules too, and more recently our US site has fallen into my remit.

Momchil Antov

Since 2000 I have been working independently as a customs broker. In 2009 I defended my PhD thesis in the field of customs control and started my academic career at the Academy of Economics, Svishtov, Bulgaria. I am currently an Associate Professor of Customs Control and Customs Representation and the author of over 50 scientific and practical papers in these fields. Based on my practical experience and good knowledge of the theory and customs regulations in Bulgaria and the EU, I assist my clients with advice on various issues related to their cross-border trade in goods. Since 2019, I have been the Chairman of the Board of the National Organisation of Customs Agents (NOCA) in Bulgaria. I am the creator of the Bulgarian customs information portal Info.Mitnica.com, which provides a wide range of information and news in the field of customs control in Bulgaria and the EU.
